Things have moved on since my 1976 Flying V fixation. I started taking heed of the wisdom of Leo Fender who said “I was always able to see the defects in the design of an instrument which overlooked completely the need of its maintenance”.

So here’s a hybrid based on 2 of Leo’s greatest creations (and a Gibson humbucker) we recently built that I think exemplifies those words of the great man.  This must be one of the most satisfying projects we’ve built, and it’d be a pleasure to build more of them if you folks agree…
